As if it wasn't enough that mad cow disease reared it's ugly head in England. Then came the horrors of bad weather and terrible flooding in parts of England and Europe, then swine fever and now there is an outbreak of foot and mouth. Maybe Northerner can give us more info on the latest horror story.

Hi Lousisa! I don't really know too much about it as I haven't had the news on all day - had my computer programming course this afternoon. I'll just go and get the evening paper.
On second thoughts I think I might be better to put this on a clearly labelled new thread. I'm wondering if General Discussion is enough or if it is better on a farming one. Will put some sort of signpost on the Farm Forum I think. You're right, this news affects our members. I'm just an ordinary gardener but I believe DG contains quite a number of farmers.
