April 10th Gulf Coast RU FOOD THREAD

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

Well, my first (of many, I hope) RU is now history and oh, what fun it was. Thanks to all who donated plants to this rank amateur. I am so proud of all of them. Food was great, too. In an effort not to be biased, I felt compelled to sample most of the desserts. YUM!

New Waverly, TX(Zone 8b)

Well I think I sampled ALL of the deserts. All the food was great, and I had a good time, and surprise! Surprise!, So did DH. That was my "first", also. All the preparation paid off! I enjoyed meeting all of you.

Kingwood, TX(Zone 9a)

James and I also had a great time! I really enjoyed meeting all of you, and look forward to getting my new plants in the dirt. I hope to see y'all again. :)

Also, James really loved the red velvet cupcakes and helping Lee grill, so I'd like to send a big thanks to BigBubbles and WillisTXGardner for the few moments of peace they provided today! :)

Sure sorry I missed the event. We didn't rest much on our vacation and DH was not up to two more days of driving. I would have loved to be there. Hope to see some good pictures and to meet you all at the San Marcos RU in June.
