How invasive is Creeping Jenny (lysimachia)?

Funny, I can't keep Sweet Woodruff to save my life. The squirrels eat it till nothing is left.

I had a DGr from Washington state send me Sweet Woodruff. I kept it alive for one year but then it croaked. I think it did not like the desert with no humidity.

I have creeping Jenny and it is in a bed at the end of the driveway. It is starting to regrow. Had to dig up the entire bed due to invasive tree roots from a neighbor's tree. It filled in the total bed and was beautiful. I loved the color. I also had silver dichondra mixed with it. Now they are both starting over.

Creeping Jenny works great for me! I have it in a mostly shady bed in my front yard. Occasionally it spills out & tries to root in the grass, but it's pretty easy to pull out. I have sweet woodruff too, in another bed. It sort of died out where I planted it but re-seeded along the inside of the edging timbers - more moisture there I guess.

gotta love ground covers! my woodruff is so pretty now all in bloom. Creeping Jenny is still creeping. Ronna

Do you know whether Creeping Jenny spread by just root or also by seeds?

Google says roots only. I have broke off a piece accidentally , buried them and they root.

They skipped the relationship part - maybe that's how they survive so well!
