the rabbits have chewed off all the lower branches on my hemlock and cyprese, will the branches grow back?these trees i purchased last year they are only 4-5 feet tall.the rabbits have done some major damage this year.
hemlock and cyprese...
Unfortunately not. But the next higher branches above will gradually droop down as they grow larger and should hide the damage quite well.
If the bark on the main stems has also been chewed off, then the trees are unlikely to survive.
Resin
I agree with Resin if the trunk has been chewed all around, called girdling.
Darn bunnies!!!
