does anyone know how to get this stuff to germinate? I got the seed from Banana Tree and I have tried everything in the book to get it started. I read that it takes from 2 to 8 days and I cant get ONE seed to germinate. HELP! I live is southwest Arizona.
Kenaf seed?
I Googled kenaf seed germination. Several site pulled up so try that.
I placed the seed into standard potting soil, not seed potting soil...dampened it well and placed it into an old fish tank that is covered with clear plexiglas...it took about 6 days for the seeds to sprout...pulled the small plants out to a tank that allows for filtered light...potted up into 3" pots with same soil after 3 weeks....hope this helps. I use this method for all of my perennials, including hibiscus.
