Newbie Intro...

Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone! I'm a seasoned Okie gardener here, who stumbled across brugs quite by accident a few months ago. Now I am quickly becoming an addict, and hope to have a fabulous variety growing in my yard this summer. I have been lucky enough to buy from some quality sellers and have both plants and cuttings waiting inside for the warm weather. If I buy any more, I think my DH will hide my Visa (LOL), perhaps I need intervention.
At any rate, I look forward to learning as much as I can and contributing where I might.

Hi there and welcome to the addiction!
Everyone starts with 'just a couple' then next year '50' and then its,
'where am I going to put them all' ????
Congratulations, you've been bitten by the Brug. Bug. LOL
Enjoy

hello and welcome to the Brug. nut house, we all get carried away, 2 years ago I had 150, all in pots, end of summer and my house was a wreck, plants everywhere, I started giving a lot of them away to another DG member who is a good friend who had put up a greenhouse, now I am down to 10 but getting more, now I am more interested in doubles, and tripples, and PINK, LOL to those that can plant outside all year I envy you.

Welcome to the Brug forum Outlandish! Brugs are addictive. Before long you'll be looking for any extra space available. Those of us that can plant in the ground only to have them die down in winter then start looking for ways to protect them so they'll bloom early. This year I started out with a pvc frame, frost cloth and plastic. The plastic was wrenched away by the first fierce wind. I ended up with this cocoon after adding 2 strands of C-7 Christmas lights. The Brug inside is still green all the way up to its "Y"s. Now that's addicted!

Thank you everyone! I'm very excited, and can see how easily it can become addicting. Hopefully I will have some lovely pictures to share this summer.
