This is what I've been working on this winter. I used a 24" X 19" selfwatering container from Gardeners Supply that is on wheels so I can move it to the porch when weather permits. The "black hole" is the future pond.

My new fairy garden
Charming.
Thank you semp! I enjoyed doing it.
Love the elf and deer.
Thanks skeeler. Ya'll - I take constructive critisim very well. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can improve the fairy garden?
What a lovely fairy garden...it's perfect! I can understand why those fairies moved in so quickly :-)
It is wonderful.....what could you possibly improve on? You have some happy fairies already!
Thank you Decolores and bugme. I had so much fun planning and planting it. The pics were taken with my phone camera so they are blurry. I did another smaller fairy garden during one of my insomniac nights. I'll see if I can get the pic on the forum this weekend.
I did have one made in a large tufa trough and my grandson destroyed it! He was too young to realize it, he only wanted to drive little cars through it........LOL, boys will be boys! This year when it is re-done I'll keep it out of his reach.
That is so cute! Love all the small details like the acorn birdhouse, moth on the fence, etc. You really put a lot of work into it and did a fantastic job! The little bridge you made is adorable. Did you glue it together?
Thanks goldfinch for your kind words. I used Elmers wood glue for the bridge because the lable says indoor or outdoor uses, and none of the twigs have come loose. Just be sure and let it dry over night. I enjoy making things with my hands and I get REALLY excited over Dremel tools! :o)
My DH got me a rotary Dremel tool for Christmas a couple of years ago. It came with a huge set of attachments and carrying case. I can understand why you're excited - they're really nice!
Hey goldfinch4, I use my Dremel almost everyday! I've got so many accessories for it they have their own toolbox! I'm working on making a headboard out of twisted vines my friend found in the woods. Couln't do it without my trusty Dremel.

She looks just like you Sally! ^_^
Hi Sally, Your pic with the little parrot in a previous thread is where I got the idea for the canary! Thanks for that by the way :o) I fell in love with your pic the first time I saw it. I enjoy googling "fairy gaardens" to get ideas. You inspire so many of us. I too love the Cicly Baker faries and had a box of them stolen from my porch the postman had left. (talked about it in a previous thread.) Broke my heart!
^_^
What a perfect little garden . Thank you for sharing.
It is just precious, I love all of the pictures!
Wonderfully detailed. Looks like a page from a story book.
Thank you for sharing ^_^
