Clusters of red eggs above the window seal in my bedroom

Westlake Village, CA

Does anyone know which insect lays tiny red eggs in cluster forms. The eggs are laid above the window seal in my bedroom.

After cleaning the area, I discovred a tiny hole behind the cluster which probably means the insect lives within the wall. I kept cleaing the eggs and everyday they were back. Finally, I covered the hole with a piece of scotch tape and that solved the problem.

But I am worried that it may come back from another place. Please let me know if you have any idea which bug is creating these eggs and how can I get rid of it. Thank you in advance!

Are you absolutely certain that these were eggs? Where you live, there is the possibility of drywood termites (Incisitermes sp.). These stay deep within wood, usually escaping notice until they create 'kickout holes' that they use for expelling their fecal pellets. These pellets are small cylinders that might be mistaken for eggs. See http://tinyurl.com/yffxzz2 and http://tinyurl.com/ygx99yy for examples.
