We need our own banner!!!!!!!!

I've noticed that some forums have custom banners. Well!! Being the number one forum (in so many ways!), don't you think we need one too?!!

Question is - what is 'typical' northeast? I think of fall stuff but do we want a fall pic all year?? They may tell us to take a flying leap if we request one for each season!

nothing typical .. going to be hard .. mountains, water, flowers, trees... way too many to list

If we can get like a graduated one where it start with mountains then a fall scene then a shore scene with a lighthouse(I think we have more on the east coast???)

I like the graduated or four part idea. Having all four seasons is what we are known for here, as well as the geography and trees. Mountains with snow, hills with fall color, a spring village common garden scene and summer at the beach.

I like the beach and fall color ones.And a cottage type garden for the summer? But I think just a snowy mountain can be anywhere! What about maple syrup being 'harvested' in the snow?

can you translate a harvesting in a tiny picture?.. if you can understand what is going on by looking at it.. I would say yes

All you would need is a building with smoke coming out the stack, wood pile and buckets or troughs that the sugar is in.

Of course we have to have these pics too! Can't download unless we have permission. Another winter idea is a traditional NE home with snow and decorated for Christmas.

I can get sugar shack pictures. They are a dime a dozen up here. In fact I have to go pick up Jims check so I can get it deposited as monday is a holiday. I will go past 3 just on the way.

Not that they would be inclined to say 'no" but that all two of them are over their heads with their "new" jobs and their new bosses and administration. I vote we hold on to the idea - maybe refine it, perfect it, work on it, whatever - until things relax around here a little more.

The sugar shack is out, as there is no snow. The picture would of looked yucky with what dirty snow we have.
