While I was away I ran into this bug. Can anyone help me out?
A new bug for me.
This is a leaf-footed bug (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Coreidae) in the genus Leptoglossus; likely Leptoglossus occidentalis, known as the western conifer seed bug. These bugs often come indoors in search of overwintering shelter. See http://tinyurl.com/ybmonu3 and http://tinyurl.com/yfd228r for more detailed information.
That is exactly what they seemed to be doing. They were alive but moving so slowly. Thanks once again for your help. :)
Just dont squish them, or poke at them! They release an odor that smells like.. stagnated orange ajax soap or something XD.
It's disgusting, and doesnt come off easily.
Thanks for the warning.
