What's he going to sell them for I mean what purpose not the price. I always thought they were so cute, I know in S. America they eat them. Why do you say they are nasty?

These varmints are interesting but have bad bathroom habits.
My DH told me they were brought to Louisiana in the 1900's fur the fur trade but they turned out to be so destructive that a bounty was placed on them. I think he said $5 per tail lol! Honestly thou I never know when he's pulling my leg ;)
LOL they are scary big. Only seen them in the Toledo zoo but I am pretty sure I don't want a rodent that large for a pet. As for the rats, they make great pets and are smart too.
