OK, It finally came on for me this time. It's a great view. :-)
Virginia Eagles are back
Yes, it was off for a day or two, at least for me, but found it back on this morning. I wonder why they rushed to band the chicks this year. Silly gooses!
They retrieved the band right afterwards (about 1/2 hour). They said that they would re-band when they fitted one for a transmitter.
Thanks for the update.
I haven't been able to see the chicks for well over a week due to glitches with transmitting to the antipodes. They've grown so much and a nestercizing like crazy. I also clicked on a link to some of the photos that have been taken in the past. Worth a look. http://www.ccb-wm.org/virginiaeagles/gallery.htm
Going back in for the Eaglets on May 5th.
I love those first several pictures of the chicks!
They will be fitting the transmitter to one of the eaglets 10am on the 5th. They will be taking all three young 'uns from the nest to measure, etc. They have also expanded the exclusion zone, so the public won't be able to enjoy the close encounters they have enjoyed previously.
I haven't been watching lately, just wondering if the young ones are branching yet?
Not yet GP.
Well, it seems our little darlings have fledged! On May 27th, 29th and 31st!
