You all may have seen this on Dr. Oz. Found it interesting that some medical reasons for panic attacks can stem from: adrenaline gland tumors or Mytro valve prolapse. This one affects the nervous system that is behind the heart. If you hear three beats instead of two like thump thump thump instead of thump thump then chances are you have it.

Mix one can of Beer, one-half teaspoon powdered sugar and a few patches of moss in a blender. Puree and then paint the slurry one-quarter-inch thick on walls, masonry planter, or fountains to initiate a mossy patina.

To encourage moss to grow on a stone wall, brick walkway or terra-cotta pot, mix one can Condensed Milk and one cup water, spray the area with the solution, and wait a few weeks.

To clean slippery moss and algae-from brick or stone paths, mix three-quarters-cup Bleach in one gallon water and scrub area to help prevent regrowth.

Stale, room temperature beer. You can also use buttermilk.

A good scrub brush to use on floors, slippery walkways or rugs is your old broom. The nice long handle is kind to your knees ^_^ and you can't beat the price!

I use an old broom to scrub the algae out of the birdbath....when it's not filled with ice, lol.

DH knows that when I ask for a long handled scrub brush, I mean a stiff broom. ^_^

KyWoods and JuneyBug those old brooms do come in handy, and they are great to chase the kids out of the kitchen when you are trying to cook :-)

I just swept about 3 inches of snow off the paths the kitties use so they aren't chest deep snow. Poor babies!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

I don't know about you, but I've seen enough snow for one year lol

Highland Heights, KY(Zone 6a)

Yep, and more is on the way here, so they say!

Having more ice than anything here right now, but expecting more this week, I don't think I ever recall it being this wet and wintery for so long a period. Lots of folks will be glad to see Spring this year and bet no one will grumble about mowing the grass lol.

Wow did you know this?

The nursery rhyme "Ring around the Rosey" refers to the Great Plague of London that killed more than seventy thousand people between 1664 and 1665. An early sympton of the plague was a red circular rash. ("Ring around the rosey"), and people would carry herbs in their pockets ("a pocket full of posies") in the hopes of warding off the disease.

Organically grown roses are edible--as are nasturtiums, pansies, tulips, violets, golyhocks, lavender, and daylilies.

The largest rose tree in the world can be found in Tombstone,Arizona. The "Lady Banks' rose tree, standing nine feet tall with a trunk-forty inches thick, was grown from a cutting that came from Scotland in 1884.

I didn't know about some of those edible flowers, wow!
I had heard about the nursery rhyme--eeeew, huh?
And wow, a giant rose tree that survives desert heat? Will have to look for it if I ever get out there. Thanks for the info!

Sure, now you can make you a flower salad lol, let me know how that goes slap on a few dandelions for added color and taste. Amazing at the flowers you can eat, I never knew that the little purple flowers in my yard ( now I know as Chives) are edible.
