Countdown to spring! One garden photo per day - Part 6
Nice gaillardia Victor. Does that one stay tall or flop over a bit?
Gotta love those little flowers of the yarrow. You have shown them so nicely in the pic WC.
Thanks ngam, Victor's shot above is very nice too, I love the peach color his has! ☺
Polly, looked at your daylily list and picked up Eddison's book ---Pinocchio is a Saxton from Stout's Mignon, Pinocchio a parent of Bitsy which is a parent of Stella so if one were young enough and wanted to reinvent the wheel you could start all over again and maybe get different repeat bloomers maybe even red ones. Saxton according to Eddisson started with H minor which seems to form seeds with anybody, I planted a bunch of minor seeds last fall, heaven knows what they will look like and I bought a new clump of minor from Seneca Hills nursery last year--was kindly given some Lemon lily by a gal on the forum so will cross these next Spring---feeling less depressed already just thinking about it. As to the flower shows-I'm a little afraid I might offend someone, but at one time the home show was part of the flower show. My wife said if she wanted to look at hot tubs she would go to a showroom we (at least I) went to see some sign of Spring. There is now a new garden show, seems to be progressing this will be it's third year.I suppose I go to see people I Know. Have never been to the Rochester one and wouldn't drive that far but I am tempted to try my first bus tour. At my age I might just as well get used to not driving all over the state.------------Weedy
Thanks. It's pretty sturdy, Pat.
Great combo, WC.
I see we're getting up there again, so I'll start a new thread.
Nice pic's everyone!
Thank you weedyseedy, I will add that to my info. Like I said, if you ever want a division of any, I'm close by. We're about 8 miles from Seneca Hill Perennials.
Is this the book you're speaking of? If so, I will get it.

I remember when the flower and the home show were together. I didn't care for that either.
