Sounds miserable. I spent too much time on my feet today, so now I am icing them. Any kind of work sounds miserable right now.

It was pretty nice today. I was working on a craft project so I didn't get outside at all. I did feed the chickies and put down fresh straw in their pen. That was about it. Ric spent a good bit of his time cooking today. Breakfast with our son's family then my parents for dinner. In between he did some work on the shelves in the laundry room.
Have a limited amount of time to spend outside today. Will try to finish up on treating the shrubs. It's nice and sunny again.
The bathroom project doesn't start until I go to HD to buy more paint... but I haven't gone yet. Since Jim decided to do his back to back netmeetings from home today, he can keep an eye on Little Bit much of the time, freeing me to play outside a little.
Joyanna went outside with me for a while (trying out the Snuggli carrier so she can face to the front, but I think I need to make some changes to the hip strap). We walked around the yard, took down Christmas lights, and refilled all the bird feeders. She thought it was fun, but she'll enjoy that sort of thing even more when she can help! :-)
I'm "clearing the deck" (literally) for winter sowing and doing some other clean-up in the garden, and I'm planting a couple handfuls of leftover crocus in my deck planters. I think everything else got planted in fall (late fall in some cases), but my planting was a little erratic.. however, I can't find anything other than those few crocuses, so I think we're good. LOL
I'm in the same mode as Critter. Cleaning up the yard and deck and potting areas. I filled yet another kitchen trash bag with debris that had blown into the yard from the windstorms. There was quite a bit of large grey plastic pieces in my beds. Have no idea what they were from. I could fill yet two or three more trash dumpsters with twigs and branches.
I've got a load of wood chips comming. The tree guys are working in our area and they are going to drop a load out front.
Wow, good for you Joyanna even likes the carrier, she is such a great baby. Both my kids hated the carrier.
I spent some hours in the garden with someone in the 'sling' carrier and the monitor in the pocket...just had to get outside! I remember my first, very young, carrying him to smell the flowers. None of my kids have been really interested in planting but I occasionally point things out to them. When about five he shocked me by recognizing a wildflower at Flag Ponds Park , that I had grown in my garden. (horsemint) They do hear and remember.
But anyhoo---my outside cleanup was limited to stray items. (do I really need that empty plastic bowl thats been rolling around the flowerbed all year? nahh) and I spent time tending inside stuff instead with the chance to do potting on the deck instead of inside.
I have seedlings! I sowed a few pots with collected cineraria
seed several years old. Figured it wouldn't germinate so I could
throw it out. But... I have germination!!! So nice to see green.

It was a frigid 25*F here this AM. Looks as though our Jan. thaw is over. They are predicting bad weather to move in tomorrow. Ric
It looks like much colder weather will be starting next Friday.
