Need help planting Black lily seeds

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I have seeds that were sent to me, they are hard black seeds about the size of a pea, do I soak them first, plant in the spring, or start them in the house now.

Doesn't sounds like lily seeds, any idea what kind they are? Maybe blackberry lily?

They do look exactly like my blackberry lily seeds, (I have lots of those) here are the names on the packets, Isle of Zansibar, Toothpick, Mascara Snake, Belamcanda Chinensis. any help?

yep, blackberry lily, which, if I remember are members of the iris family

After a quick internet search, all of those names come up as daylilies (with the exception of Belamcanda).

You might want to double-check with the person that sent them to you. There's lots of good seed-starting information in the Daylily forum.

Sounds like you might have different types of seeds there. Moby is correct, I zeroed in on the last one and that one is the 'blackberry lily' seeds.
