Back to NYC, bone tired to even start to edit the snaps we took, but I will post them soon, if DG still exists.

Wow, that was a startling occurrence. I hope the new company doesn't delete my journal and blog information. I need to see how to save it asap, in case they have a big delete button planned. I will hope for the best, maybe improvements in some areas, but no doubt some things won't be the same, sadly. Patti

Victor, why not to worry over my years of garden entry work being deleted if the new people so choose? I would hope not, but who knows if that is a part of the site that they have an interest in supporting in the future. Has there been any official notice of their intention to the subscribers?

It seems like Dave was blindsided, so I don't want to be in the same spot as him. I will go home tomorrow and print out my entire journal, so I at least have a hard copy of the text and the pages in my blog where I download anything that I want to keep. It is essential stuff to my garden life. My biggest hope is that they do want to continue the Journal part of the site and make some hugely needed upgrades to it that have been requested for a very long time by many people. I would be happy to pay an extra fee for the Journal if it was improved as I have yet to find a program that I want to use more even with some of it's faults.

I am travel weary, so perhaps I should just go to sleep and not worry, yet. I do have visions of S African flora dancing in my head after spending a whole day at their remarkable botanical garden. Pictures to come. Patti

I'm jst saying we all need to wait and see. Lots of craziness the first few days. I would guess that if they were to make those changes you fear, they would have to notify the people, as it would be a change in policy. I have the same concern for my 1000+ pics! I don't want them making any $$ off them.
