Oh, I'm confused even more now. If you all decide to leave, please invite me along. I've never joined this site because I did not see the usefulness for me, I'm only really interested in tropical growing not temperate or especially, cold weather gardening. So, I have no access to the other parts of the forum and now, it seems it is even less worthwhile. I guess I have to make myself get more involved in the Spanish forums, they are not as easy for me to read and my grammar is atrocious so I get embarrassed. Heh! Maybe I should just spend more time in the garden and less time on the internet!

extranjera... I have been where you are!!! Finally became understood a lot better and I have taught Spanish as well. The one thing that helped me was music, especially on the radio in the car. I heard them often enough that I could 'sing along' with them and - trained my tongue to get around the words. Also picked up Italian easily because I used to sing along with Pavoratti at home. Works wonders!

Heh! When no one is home, or when I am driving alone in the car, I sing along to Vicente Fernandez. He's my favorite singer and partly that is because he enunciates well and I can understand him easily. I can really belt out those mariachi songs when I'm alone. I do take classes as well, I will always be in school in some way I think, and we've been using some songs along with a lot of literature. One song that is permanently stuck in my mind (and I don't even like it much) is called Ingrata by Café Tacuba and is a take off on one of those really fast, Mexican country songs about lovers who don't love you back. God, it's so irritating but I can't stop singing it in my head.

Here it is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEfaxwK3mn4

Oh, no you don't! I don't need your song stuck in my head!! lol

I love the music of Miguel Aceves Mejia - classic mariachi. When those 'clarins' start out I get chicken skin all over!!!!

We too are having unusually high tides but, thankfully, no waves - just water, water everywhere.
