This is the second year I have been looking for Gloriosa Lily tubers. I have spent the evening looking for them on line and cannot find any. to order. I have not been able to find any. I thought they were tubers you ordered in the Spring. Should I have ordered them this past fall? Do you know of a resource I can get some G. Lilies?? I really like them.
Did I screw up again??
Brent and Becky have three varieties. I happened to see them as I was looking at their lilies.
I see American Meadows has them too, but that company isnt on my faves list.
Bulbs are fine but plants never again.
pollyk: I have not been able to locate the G.L. tubers at Brent and Becky's. It seems difficult to get into their website. I must be doing something wrong.
Lily aficionados: When is the correct time to order these tubers? I thought it would be in the Spring as they are planted in the Spring like other lilies. Maybe I will get this right next year.

I wondered "why so much beefcake" to sell plants.
The flowers are exotic but I wondered what the need for women posing with plants is for.Might not be a plant business after all.
It is a plant business, but I think they were like 90% negative, and the other 10% were relatives. Seriously, they had really, really bad ratings, and customer service was horrible. I never ordered from them personlly, that was just what I remember from Garden Watchdog before Tyty was taken off there.

That's the last thing I would ever want to be. But that is the investigator in me still. I have to check out everything.

Unfortunately, the above mentioned company is not listed in the GW due to ~ shall we say ~ issues? With a rating like they had, there were words flying around like slander, libel, lawsuit, etc... so the agreement was to have no listing at all.
There are other gardens that have some pretty hot under the collar customers too.
GW is a great way to weed out the bad businesses.
Okay, I ordered my Gloriosa Lilies from Brent & Becky's. I figured out that I didn't to change the cookies on my computer to get into B & B's website.
From my research, I have determined that one is to order G. L. tubers in the Spring for
spring planting and summer bloom. They seem to be very scarce this year.

I got the Party Streamer mix since I 'd never grown them up here before and didn't know if they'd do anything. Started them in the garage. Very happy with them. Placed the order on Jan. 27 in '09, but they don't have them yet listed as of today(1/06/10)...Maybe it's too early.
