Yep. My husband had to physically hold on to me when my daughter would wake up and cry at night. but after a few nights, she got it and went back to sleep.
Our Toby has a pen in the kitchen with a nice warm fluffy pillow. I go to bed kind of early these days so I put him in around 9:30 or 10 pm and turn out all the lights in the kitchen. Anybody who goes through has to do so quietly and not talk to him. He sleeps all night. he whines if we confine him there too long in the daytime and we are at home, but i have to put him in when i am cooking or he would trip me. also, he hates the vacuum cleaner so I pen him up when I am vacuuming. keep up with it. Your dog will get the message.

My New Friend
How cute is this....while I was reading the posts in this thread, Carli was taking a siesta on my feet and Bailey was napping on Hank's leg, when all of a sudden, they both awoke and gave that low bark that they do when they hear a strange noise, and especially a dog passing by. I went to the door to look out and there was their sister, Roxie Pauline, at our front door. She had broken out of her outdoor fence 5 houses away while her "mother" was meeting with a service person in their garage. Roxie knew the way to get to her sisters. Her Mom came running to fetch her. The girls got a quick kiss before Roxie left. Awwww....sisterly love! That Roxie is such a cutie! Karen took a cute photo of her with the girls and posted it on my DonnieBrook's Subtropical Adventures 2 thread. I wish I knew how to post it here, but I'm not that facile.
too cute
Glad that she didn't go out on the road, however.
Josh looks feisty
Josh is very laid back until play time then he is a ball of energy ...He bark's very seldom other than when needed. He is also very camera shy so we have very few pictures of him other the south side of the dog.
Lucy - I had the same reaction. Our street is very quiet, but at one end is a very busy road. I always worry about the dogs getting loose, because our wonderful dog, Lady, in my childhood was killed on that road. I have trained the girls to "come for a treat" just to make sure I can get them back if they get loose from us, but of course that requires being present with them for it to work. They come running when they hear me say that.
Josh is very cute!!
Toby went to play with his friend Tyson the Yorkie tonight. He is one tired dog. Tyson's owner was the one who found him wandering around loose and rescued him. We are grateful she has such a sharp eye.

Sherrie, your new pit puppy is just adorable! I love his looks. I'm sure he will turn into a great dog for you. I wish I could have one.
Josh is a cutie, Orchidfancy!
