Sorry I haven't been contributing. I have been gone to warmer climes for a week or so and haven't taken many bird pics. Gray day, light is lousy, snow on the ground. Maybe I can get a better pic later. I'm not in a good humor anyway. Just dropped my favorite pair of binocs on the floor and bent the eyepieces. Sending them back for repairs.

One of the crows who comes by daily for grain and scraps I throw out.

I have some to add. These were taken over the last two weeks while I was absent from DG because of computer problems. I'll do several now and the rest later. Here is one of the most common birds seen here now. They arrive in droves each morning. The common Grackle.

Great start Burn!!

I haven't seen a Fox Sparrow here yet ...nice one Mrs. Ed. I have seen very few sparrows of any kind actually. Again, the warmer weather we had seems to have delayed things a bit.

Thanks, Pelletory. So glad to finally get some pics uploaded and to be able to visit Daves' Garden again.

Love the Painted Buntings. Can't wait for Spring so I can have them and the Indigos.

Lots of Juncos, doves and House Finches today.

These doves had fed and were puffed up, resting on the mulch of around a trellis so they could get out of the snow.

A new visitor today. Believe this is a Bewick's Wren. Doesn't quite look like a Carolina.

The male Downy. Have a pair that are in the front yard a lot. They love the peanut-flavored suet.

A young male HOSP and a House Finch. The HOSP's are really staking out this feeder and running off the other birds. They have learned what makes the feeder close and fight off everyone to keep getting food.

The last thread went by so fast!! Thanks for the new one Burn...always great to see which birds you have visiting. I am anxiously awaiting for the Grosbeaks and Redpolls to show up at your place.

Nice shots everyone...GP...glad to see you back...omg...I'm very jealous of all your beauties especially the Buntings and the Hummer! I am like Mrs. Ed...oh to see a Hummer!

Marna...I was went out yesterday in the freezing temps just to get some shots of the Fox Sparrows! Yours are gorgeous in the snow.

Red...Sure looks like a Bewicks to me...congrats, I haven't seen one this winter.

Pelle...You have the same problem I have with the Starlings and suet...nice shots!

I am so far behind in posting and will start a separate thread to get caught up...but had to share this cute little Carolina Chickadee that landed outside the window.

Nice Shots Everyone!! Thanks for new thread Burn! Yesterday the sun came out but not until 3pm or so (sigh) so not too many with the really good light, but not bad thanks to the snow on the ground.

These 2 male House Sparrow's caught the light from the snow under them nicely.
