Haystack's New Project
Beautiful gamehen: Last pic.
Thanks Haystack for sharing... I think I got your sunset tonight, I shared it out on the porch with a beer and the critters,
How I long for trees with leaves on them and green grass,the little game bird is so cute and small.The sunset was beautiful,thanks for sharing with us
Haystack those are some beautiful birds. Such adorable little babies.
Love the one that is strattling your hand, we have a Buff Orpington that sat like that on one my sons hands when she was little and still does it now that she is full grown, too funny.
smedge the one straddling my hand is a full grown gamehen. Lots of people like them. They are even friendlier than the seramas. We hatched two of them with the seramas, but sickie also hatched two of them last night. They are such a hoot. Those long legs remind me of tall thin ladies wearing stilleto heels. LOL.
LOL I just love the way Murphy is so at home on your shoulder! So cute!!!! Love that sunset pic too. Thankz for posting those pics... you can't imagine the smiles it gives me!~
Life is so strange sometimes, I have worked diligently with the black coppers, and must admit I have spent quite a bit of money on them and have had the worst results with them one could imagine. I bought twenty one fertile eggs with a hatch of five four of the five were roosters, so there is one hen. I bought twelve day old chicks, semi locally, and they were lousy, all but three died within two weeks. Of the three that lived two were roosters. So I now have a flock of beautiful black copper roosters with one mature hen, and one hen that is about two and a half months old. Those turned out to be an expensive dud. It's been just the opposite with the seramas, over and over I have been told they are so hard to hatch and I expected the worst, and it seems as though with them I can do no wrong. The truth is I just don't get it. I'm still somewhat hopeful to get some blackcopper fertile eggs from my two girls but the truth be known I have really been focusing on the seramas as they are so much fun. Hay.
ZZ's I was just telling Cat, one guy came up from Seattle and bought nineteen of the seramas. I am in total shock, it's just too weird. Oh ZZ's my wife took the sunset pic, and when I posted it I thought she said she just took the pic, and come to find out it's a pic she took over a year ago and is still on the camera. I only noticed it was strange when I blew it up the date threw me for a loop...LOL Hay.

I don't think Serama eggs ship well. If you generate your own, they seem to hatch very easily.
Also, people breeding for very small Serama have increased the incident of tiny, non-viable "peanut" eggs.
{{{Let's just keep this information a secret between the two of us, Hay. Okay?}}}
Alright Darling!!! MUM'S the word: Shssssh.
so sneaky. so very sneaky. really. I bet you never get two steps in without getting caught, Hay. ^_^ kinda cute.
