Brown Ladybug?

Brockton, MA(Zone 6a)

It's the right size, shape but not like any ladybug I've ever seen.
I found it on the kitchen floor, moved it to the counter for pics.

Not a lady beetle, but a leaf beetle (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in the genus Calligrapha; likely the dogwood calligrapha (Calligrapha philadelphica) - see http://tinyurl.com/ydbvzzm for an image.

Thanks, Suunto. Looks petty good to me.
There seems to be variations in the spots/lines on the shell.

There are several species in this genus, all of which will show individual variation in the markings on their wing covers. I still believe that Calligrapha philadelphica is the best match for your specimen.
