I will immediately pass this on to friends whos land has been condemned. They finally reached someone at the RR commission who was confounded about what's going on out here. At least I think it was the RR comission, these days I get forgetful. Anyway ,it was an important state contact and these gentle folk spent 6 hours drawing up a 2 page letter.
As for us, we signed an agreement with the pipeline co at 6pm yesterday. We got the important items we wanted and let some stuff go. The $ passed on to us will go to pay income taxes DH says.
We now know of other lines going in, including across the street, that one's going another direction. While we got compressors and like items taken off our property (that was coming, along with the line), I'm well aware they can place that stuff nearby.
While this current issue is closed for us, the topic is hot around here and we're sure to have more request for pipeline placement. Please continue to sent helpful links I can pass on to others around here who need this info right now.
Pipeline in Paradise
Okay lajaw, just reread what you posted and wanted to let you know these landowners did get a hearing. Their land was turned over for the pipeline use and pipe placement will commence on that property. They expect to go to trial next April.
There are some outside journalist interested in this and I expect they will ask important questions regarding process, etc.
Thank God for good journalism!
Most of all, thank you for your prayers.
Good by all, for a while. With my workup at MD Anderson coming this Friday, followed by presumed but likely slammin' treatment to follow the latter part of thr following week, I will be indeposed for a while.
God Bless each and every one of us, as everyone has trials along the way, time to time.
youre in our thoughts and prayers..and when you get home if you need ANYTHING let us know.. thats what family is for..
editted to add.. as hard as it is to ask for help you are really helping someone when you do ask for it if that makes sense..

You will be on our minds and in our prayers. Wishing you only the best! Take care...
I,too, will be thinking about you. If you have a laptop, take it with you. You can log into their system, It helped me when DH had to go there. If you haven't been there, it's one of those "hurry up and wait" kind of places. Keep your (MD Anderson) map with you.
Thanks ya'll. I love you for your concern for my health. I got a much better report at MDA but all is not settled yet.
The pipeline folk were out here yesterday marking their territory to dig trenches, etc. Much more is mark up than I expected but DH says whe widened area reflects their work area.
Looks like work begins soon and I will post pics. We were told work would begin much later, but with all this tagging of the work area, I have to wonder if the work will began sooner, rather than later.
A seismic co is due any day to do their thing.
We have a gas well so near our home now, the noise is constant and very industrial as they bore 15,000 feet straight down. They may go lateral later.
Here's a helpful link on how a gas well is drilled through shale material. http://www.northernoil.com/drilling.php
