Missouri. Outside of Kansas City. :~)

Xai Xai, Mozambique

Oh, Missouri! i don't think i have ever met someone from there. Do you like living there?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I love living here! I love all the weather changes. One day it can be 70 degrees then the next it will be 20 for a high. Keeps us on our toes. lol.

Xai Xai, Mozambique

Wow, sounds bouncy! our weather does it sometimes, but not usually. right now it is very hot here, but i am not complaining!! i love the summer, because i can swim, enjoy the beach, and my garden flourishes!

We are sharing a little of that cold with you Amanda. This week it is going to be 19 or 20 deg F either Fri or Sat morning. I will have to cover the plants on the patio even with the plastic up as the plastic only adds about ten deg. so that would still be below freezing. Not my idea of fun. That is why I came SOUTH! LOL!

Hope everyone is well! Isaac I hope that you are feeling better. I'm finally beginning to feel a little stronger.

Good luck, Jeanne! i am so glad to hear that you are feeling a bit stronger, thats great! i am back to normal again, just a bit thinner. my friends won't get off my case because i lost so much weight. but in a couple of weeks i will have regained it without a problem.

Hello, everyone.

Isaac, friends are a mixed blessing. Do what you have to and let them talk. Your true friends will not get on your case for anything. They only see Isaac, not emaciated Isaac, not sick Isaac, just Isaac. Keep those close to your heart.

We are facing a definite risk of frost tonight, as the temperatures are scheduled to drop to 32 Farenheit (0 Celsius). I will definitely have to bring in some of my treasures tonight. HUGH! This is SOUTH Florida. We shouldn't have to do stuff like that. I feel cheated, somehow.

Take care, all.

Join the crowd. That is why we came South! This is approaching a record low winter for us.....a record we could do without! haha!

LOL. Well, I have more snow coming in tomorrow. Up to 7 inches of the dry snow then after that rolls thru we will have 40 mph winds. When the wind is blowing I will be thinking of you all down South. LOL

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

We are expecting frost overnight. I just finished bringing in anything that was not planted in the ground. The rest will have to suffer through it.

That frosty weather up north has dropped down here a bit too. We're having lows in the mid to low 60's and that is COLD for us. I don't have the clothes or the blankets for this, I've been sleeping in sweats with every blanket in the house piled on, my hot water bottle and 2 cats on my feet. I know, I can hear the tiny violins playing from those up north. I hope your plants survive and nothing is lost, that would be horrible.

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10a)

I brought a lot of potted plants yesterday. The temperature in Delray Beach (FL) dropped to 28F (-2C) during the night. It has been going up a bit since the sun rose over an hour ago. I will go outside later to see what was damaged. I don't relish that inspection.

Take care, all.

Feeling philosophical this morning. Watched a piece on national news last night that predicts our labor market will never be the same. I agree with that and am sorry for all of those millions caught in this vice. I have taken every precaution I can for my plants and yet I am sure that the landscape will look quite different this coming summer. Things that have made it through several winters will not withstand teens and single digit temps. Our entire world is in the midst of change. We human beings resist change with all our might. Weather in particular has always been of interest to me as mankind cannot control one single condition. All the more reason to believe in God the Father and yield to His Will. Though we don't want to, plants are replaceable.....lives are not.
My yard stick is very different since last April 14th.

Glad we are retired and can stay in our nest and not face so many things head on. Praying for the best for everyone.

Christi, what you say is very, very true. Our world is indeed changing, and it is scary. But you are right about the Lord, because we know that he is in control of EVERYTHING!
sometimes its scary what it actually takes to make us see the truth.
Thank you Sylvain, my friends are leaving me be now, thankfully! i hope your plants fared alright through the frost, let us know.
i hope everybody is doing well, even though it is cold. Our weather was extremely hot for about two weeks, and then last night it cooled down considerably when we got a lot of rain. i poured this morning, and it has been quite windy too. but i think by tomorrow most of it would have cleared up. but the rain was very much needed, and everybody here is very thankful for it.
