Merry Christmas to everyone who has been following Harmony's life. That's gorgeous, Kim.

It has been remarkably peaceful at the osprey site. There's no activity at the nest until very late in the afternoon, by which time shadows come and go across the nest and the main branches. And of course, when there is any activity you can pretty well be assured that the shadows will be there and only two or three feet away there will be the most exquisite light.

The three birds have been spending a lot of their time in various trees in front of Madame X's place. No one has observed Harmony wet, or with a fish it has caught yet.

The Willie Wagtails have a couple of babies and woe betide any person who walks in their vicinity. I had one of them on my back a couple of days ago. So light it was like having a fairy dancing on my back. It settled down when I spoke to it and assured it I wasn't going to hurt its babies. Yesterday afternoon a couple of people were walking along the low track and even though there's no way of seeing them, you'd know exactly where they were by the angry chattering that followed their passage.

Big Hook was on the pole branch when I went there both yesterday and the day before. She then went and landed on the nest and Harmony joined her. This first photo was taken when they were in most heavy shadow and I've had to play around with it, but I wanted to post it to show the difference in their sizes. Harmony is actually still quite a small bird. It looks larger in this picture because it is standing on a branch making it higher than Big Hook.

Merry Christmas to one and all. It's a greatest gift of all when family's members are supportive of one another and continue to grow through adversity as demonstrated by Harmony's family. Once again, many thanks go to Margaret for having this wonderful gift of sharing. Merry Christmas Margaret. May the new year be a joyous year for all. Peace.

p.s. the pix isn't my own. But I thought it's so cute representing unity and peace. Kim, I love your Christmas card.
