CLOSED: Strange bug .. a moth perhaps?

Hello All,

Quite a while ago, this bug landed on the counter next to me at the pool I swim at. I took a pic with my BlackBerry so you'll have to forgive that ti's not perfectly clear.

Just curious as to what it is. I've never ever seen anything like it in my life.

This is a sphinx moth (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae); it might be a pink-spotted hawkmoth, Agrius cingulata - see http://tinyurl.com/ycfnzaj for an image.

Very cool thank you! At least it's not a wasp or something. I didn't know for sure but the tail looks very much like a stinger so it was kinda scary and I didn't want to touch it.
