I keep hearing about this plant but have never stopped to look into it It sounds like a real hardy no fuss ground cover. I will need to see if I can find some somewhere. Thanks Josephine.

Ken, if you come to the spring swap, I can have some for you.

This looks like a lovely ground cover. I googled it to see where I could find it. Does this grow from seeds.
how did you acquire yours.

I got mine from cuttings, but I am sure it grows from seed, though I have never seen it for sale or collected it myself.

Beaumont, TX(Zone 9a)

I planted some in a 4 X 10 bed this summer and the bed was cover in a very short time. It grows fast but is not difficult to control.

Ajntexas, were did you get your plants? I have looked on google and find only topics on this plant but not any for sale.
This is something I would like to try and know now is not the time to be planting it. I would like to know where I can get it when it is time. I have also looked on ebay. I was wondering about blue star creeper. I can get plugs of this just about any where. or elfin thyme

Thanks

How is it for foot traffic? I've got kind of a similar situation, around the barbeque, which mostly no one walks there, but when you're cooking out, that's sorta where you have to stand.

I found mine growing in my mom's yard. Your best bet is to get some from Josephine at the Arlington Spring Plant Swap. I would be glad to give you some also if we meet at one of the swaps or I could mail you some plants in the spring, just pay the postage.

Ajntexas,

However I can get my hands on some would be greatly appreciated. I have never attended a swap before sounds like fun will the date, time and location be posted so I don’t miss it. I would also pay postage. It seems we have a few people interested. What does this swap Intel do I just bring something to swap or can I just buy the plants. Is it like a community plant sell will they sell for a price or are they looking for a swap? Just want to know the proper etiquette beforehand. I don’t want to be rude and ask not sure how this all works just yet. I am learning.

Lori :)

Here is a photo of my Frogfruit (some given to me by lovely Josephine). It's growing along the west-facing foundation, and seems to thrive on harsh sun, clay soil, and little attention. It's growing directly under the eaves. It's hard to see in the photo, but the plant has lots of pretty little white flowers. It will take some foot traffic with no trouble. And with your stepping stones, it would be easy to control it with a weed whacker.

Lori, did the link to the swap thread answer you questions?
Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Oh yes, Thank you! It seems like controlled chaos. Lots to keep up with Is it always in October?
Since I am just starting out and do not have a lot for trade. What would be the best thing for me to come to the swap with?

I am trying visualize where they put all their stuff they have on their list. Plants, compost, manure so on looks like some bring the whole farm.

I have gotten a little farther in that very long tread and now see how everyone manages their goods.

Lori, we do have one in the spring also. Don't worry, you will do just fine.
