I recently acquired some acacia seeds form a park near by. I only have a few, so I don't want to waste any. Do they need any chill time? Or bottom heat? How deep should I plant them? Mini greenhouse inside, or is outside OK? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.

What do Acacia seeds need to germinate?
Oh boy - you might want to get an ID on the plant first, seeing as there's an awful lot of them about. If you go to this Wiki page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acacia -and scroll down, they have pics of the bark, leaves and flowers to make it easier - and our ID forum would be the next stop.
Some of the Acacias sprout *very* easily - I had one in Tucson that had tons of sprouts every year if I didn't rake up the seedpods - I think it was an A. berlandieri (can't quite remember) - a small, very graceful and airy tree with white puffball flowers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Acacia-berlandieri-flowers4.jpg
