3rd Annual DG Christmas Craft Workshop - Project #6

Victoria Harbour, ON

Candy Canes

Here's what I thought we would do for those who are finding time on their hands to do their projects now...

I will start a project on each of the projects offered to you and give basic starting information...

Will also make a thread for " 3rd Annual DG Christmas craft workshop - photo's only" where everyone can put their finished piece on so we can ohhh and ahhhh...

Is that ok?

Thought as you received your project I'd best enter some info

Colors required:

White
Med. value gray (could make a mixture of 1/2 and 1/2 black and white)
Red or red/maroon (I prefer this one)
black
yellow gold (star)

Because it's difficult to cover reds/white I suggest you basecoat the candycanes with med. value gray..let dry

Take a pencil and from photo mark separation lines.

Paint each marked section with red, then white, then red....etc.

Star is basecoated in a yellow/gold color

Once completely dry, sand edges of both the candycane and the star

I almost think I drilled a few holes for you to insert some wire so that you can hang this project..do this before you start to decorate with greenery and adding your ribbon..you've birds right, they can be glued into the arrangement that you did...

if you have clear spray i.e. adhesive or finishing agent, spray now and add the sparkles

if you have podgy, simply brush some on your piece and arrangement and sprinkle the sparkles...
