Good luck on getting the scrapes out. There's some kind of coloured oil that matches the stain of wood, and will make it look as though there wasn't a scratch.
Yes, it was productive. I served tea at our church, and bought a lot of baking.
I finally got all the recyclables recycled, too lol
I went to Wally World and got some velcro for a DG buddy swap I'm doing.
AND I got some black quilt fabric that I didn't see the pattern of well enough to see it was Asian......... which will go with the other Japanese fabric I'm making a bed quilt from........ I'm rather pleased, as they'll go together well. (Burgundy, browns, and the black - gotta find some cream muslin or something, for the rest of it.
Think it's Hot Tub, then bedtime for me tonight.......... I'm tired.

What's Happening in your neck of the woods? Friends...
You've all been so busy, I've already been up for a few hours...lot's of family and friends having major sorrows so just couldn't sleep, figured if I couldn't might as well make use of the extra hours..
"M" bet you are relieved about the tredmill!
Must be extra mild outside, just made a trip to the fire pit with my wood cuttings and it's lovely out there..alarm going off somewhere, might be restaurant or variety store..thought I best come back in...
Think what got my tummy and me upset, at least one of the things...Ray, a friend that lives down on the lake a few miles from here has been having mega troubles, dad just died, mom last year then his brother who lives next door has throat cancer and not expected to live much longer..well he has a 19 year old daughter from his 2nd marriage..she is an artist and was doing a tour on the east coast, believe Cape Breton, anyway she had a few hours to spare and thought she'd go hiking..something she does here all the time..some hikers heard screaming, cayote's had attacked her..so young to die...the wardens did get one of the cayote's, tested it, said no rabbies and it wasn't hungry because it had fresh food in it's tummy..Ann, Ray's neighbor was in for tea last night..said Ray is just devastated...
That with other news I got yesterday guess that's why I can't sleep..perhaps this afternoon I'll be able to grab a catnip..in the meantime I'm cleaning dust from all my wood cuttings...2 workshops this weekend so lots of cutting..
Made arrangements to be at Mike and Darlene's for 8am to rip the big wood then home to finish my projects...
Hope you all enjoy your day! may it be a sunshine day in your neck of the woods!
Betty, so sorry to hear of all the sorrow you are sharing. Can't imagine what your friend Ray must be going through. Until a few years ago, I held with the misconception that coyotes didn't attack people, only small animals. Now this is the second time I've heard of them attacking a human.
We have been having a mild November too, Don't remember such an extended period of warm days this late into fall. Some days are too windy to get much done outside, but I have been cleaning in the greenhouse too. Good to be ready for next spring, although I am not going to start as many seeds next year.
Just coming out of my cave to say hi, I'm still here. Everyone, have an excellent week.
Betty - was that the young girl who was attacked by coyotes a few weeks ago or another. I sure hope not another. But your friend certainly has more than his share of grief to bear.
Theresa asked about my trip - not orchestra related, but music. We came to the Bratschistentag of the German Viola Society which was held in Hamburg. We went last year because it was celebrating the 40th anniversary of both the GVS and the International VS. This year we came because it was in Hamburg where we spent a year in 1976-77 and still have some friends.
It wound up today - early afternoon and we took a train to Berlin. Now have Internet in our room and also are on nobody's schedule but our own. We got here at 3:45 - 1 hr 45 minutes by fast train and very smooth too. Turned in some vouchers for transit passes which we will validate tomorrow, took a taxi to our hotel which is in the ofrmer east, got setlled in our room and then set out walking around for an hour before having dinner. We are here until Wednesday when we return to Ottawa.
Susan, after all that walking, I wish I had a hot tub or even a bath tub. The norm in German hotel rooms is shower only unless you are in one that costs mega bucks.
Getting a bit late here; so I'll wish you all a good night.
Ann
Kinda crazy about those darned Coyotes .. we have them here as well .. usually seen from a distance crossing feilds .. not many venture close. Problem here has been the UPSURGE in Wolves !!
Folks here (as eleswhere) tend to love to get out into the outdoors on these gorgeous fall days .. have had 3 incidents in 2 months of A wolf approaching a woman walking her small dog .. luckily a jogger was nearby and they were able to cause the wolf enough trepidation to back off.
ANother family sadly had their dog attacked and it. had to be put down ... not sure about the 3rd but I think it involved a farmer who was forced to shoot the wolf to protect his milk herd.
I am extra cautious on my walks with Lilly .. am almost tempted to buy bear spray .. but .. so far have reverted to CELL PHONE LoL.
The girl who was killed has some connections in TBay .. relatives of some sort .. very sad.
Echoes .. I will remind you of the 'NOT PLANTING as many SEEDS statement next spring :-)
Sure is nice to have this mild weather ..
Glad to hear you're having a nice vacation Ann .. enjoy :-) Sounds wonderful
Started up the woodstove a few minutes ago as I thought it damp .. and .. well .. you know ME .. WHEW .. sure does get warm in the house LoL
I brought in some wood .. was hugging it to myself .. placed it on the hearth and PIP .. a cricket jumped off one of the logs and right down the front of my sweatshirt .. well .. there was some MAJOR hootin and hollerin happening .. Lilly was barking .. sad to say .. I was able to extricate the lil devil from the 'valley of death' .. but .. he/she was a goner ...
That will now forever stick in my mind .. I am NOT a bug fancier !!!!
Best get dinner on the go
Cheers all
~M~
hahahahahahaha "valley of death" LOL had to share that with my DH - he grinned.
Didn't you know that crickets on a hearth are good luck? Maybe he/she was afraid to get toasted lol
~Susan~
yes, same...Ray is a very quiet person, it happened on his 60th birthday..neighbors are getting together in a few weeks so I'll join them...he's such a dear...
OMG it's beautiful out there, not even a coat is needed...
Drizzle and fog with temps in the high 40s .. can everyone say a FRIZZY HAIR DAY LoL .. but HEY .. NO snow .. and each day without snow is another day closer to SPRING ^_^
BIG day here for Lorna .. she is being assessed by a rehab team this afternoon with regards to her eligibility for admittance to the Amp program here. I am sure she will be .. she has worked very hard to get to where she is now, especially her upper body strength !!
Will keep Ray in my thoughts .. one wonders how people stay strong when these unfortunate events occur.
Best get on with my day
TTFN
~M~
prayers for Lorna..."M" - it's 44 here..and are you right, if we can get through to Dec. with no snow it won't seem quite as bad..I'm going for Christmas eve snow but know my boys would be shaking their heads..waiting for skiing and snowmobiling..lol...
Ann, please take mega photo's...would love to see them...
Don, have you made it south without incident?
For all of you ....
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men...
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in..
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution..
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
I am here Betty. Temperature is 18c with a high of 23C. Enjoying it tremendously. ^_^
Well it doesn't seem as bad done with it being 44 here...must tell you though, I'm sure we'll be drooling at the mouth with envy at what is yet ahead of you weather wise...
How lucky you are....enjoy for us!
Another pleasant day here, and I am having a recovery day from the past week. Xmas All Thru The House at Lougheed House was a great success! But I am beat after working the past 4 days -usually just a 3 hr shift but almost 5 hours yesterday. Friday a couple of volunteers didnt show up so I was greeting at the door instead of interpreting on the 2nd floor. I took in my stool and a pretty stole to cover it so I sat whenever I could which was a big help/ Upstairs I usually sit on the windowsills which are very wide but this year they were all decorated but sometimes sat on designers chair instead. Then I can play my game of pretending I am a statue and surprizing folks but suddenly smiling at them as they lean down to check if I am real or not! The restaurant which has been closed for 3 months reopend with new people on Saturday and on Friday they cooked samples of many of their dishes and those of us working all got to sample them! Yummy!
So this morning apart from my usual computer time I have been taking down the LR/TVR curtains and putting up the window Xmas lights- that way the curtains get washed every year and it is so much nicer to put up inside lights! I think I will just leave them up this year, they dont particularly show thru the lace curtains!
And then I will sew a couple of dog beds!
Carol, thought you said you were resting up from the weekend...
Sounds as though you have mega fun at work...that is so nice..laughed at your trying to pretend to be part of the decorations..too cute!
I am 'resting' Spending lots of time on the computor and doing other things in between.
It is a 'rest' to do something completely different. I might skip dog rally class tonight though!
And I am not sewing any dog beds.
Betty last year I think during the Alberta Ballet Home tour event I was sitting in the Drawing Room at LH which is about 40 feet long. I was wearing a lovely wine crepe 1920s dress with pearls, a fur stole and an elegant black hat and I looked smashing even if I do say so myself!. The drawing room is about 40 feet long. A couple came in at the other end and turned and looked at me for a moment and I didn't do anything, just staring at a point over his shoulder. The man kept slowly coming closer and closer and peering at me and I didn't move until he was about 5 feet in front of me and then I made eye contact and smiled at him! He jumped in the air! It was quite funny - he really could not figure out if I was real or not! So now I do it once in a while.
You are a busy girl Carol! I would love to see a photo of you in your '20's dress and pearls - I can just picture you! That is so funny you sitting quietly and then smiling, it would be a great video..:~) Cheers - Cath
A photo from the Crosby Arboretum, from a recent field trip with our Garden Club.
Beautiful shot!
Waving at DON .. so glad you arrived and are having such lovely weather .. we had spits of rain, but, the temps was 45F .. UNREAL !!!
The rehab assessment for Lorna went well .. she will have to wait until her incision is completely healed before she can become a full time participant ... they feel it may be January, OR .. if she has healed in December .. they will reassess .. either way .. it's ALL GOOD :-)
Carol .. I think the 'statue caper' is too funny !!!! The dress sounds beautiful ..
Lovely poem Betty .. and how true .. read it and thought of the Mom whose toddler fell at Pearson Airport yesterday .. don;t know why .. just did.
Kett the pic is majorly pretty ^-^
Imagine, you still have some COLOUR !!!
Off to the store .. need creamer for the morning
~M~
Yes, thanks for that Betty. Hello to everyone else too. Temps here too have still been nice and a real treat today with no wind. Got some roses and heucheras put to bed. Just puttering out there is nice for the few hours of daylight that we have. I'm afraid it will all end very soon as I see cold temps coming in a day or so. Then I will finish some mulching, just in case we don't get as much snow this year. Wish I had more flax straw, but some leaves will do.
Morning, raining here, still excited with temps as it's not white..lol
Lordy, there should be nothing left to do in your yards come spring, all getting the extra weeks for clean up...
OMG that picture is mega beautiful..couldn't you just see yourself there, enjoying..some people sure are lucky..thanks for sharing and dropping in..
Carol, what fun you have....they have Christmas tours here in people's homes...everyone said I should invite them to my house..lol..NOT! but I would like to take a tour..always to busy to do so...
Please everyone, share your Christmas decorating with me...so love it..
"M" that's terrific news for Lorna...you've been a terrific friend to all..we all should have some like you..omg I DO!!! Both are blessed with such friendship...
Bernie came last yesterday, all the doors upstairs are now installed and trimmed as well as the changes for the patio door in back bedroom..today he's back to install more doors in rec. room..even have him conned into setting up his machine, forget what it's called to do all the handles for the lanters for the piece I'm teaching Sat./Sun. if it works I'm a happy camper....
Wow, last week I fell and injured my wrist..didn't seem anything other than spraining it..but today, can hardly lift my cup of coffee..pain shooting everywhere...might wait until this aft. and if the same then I'll go to emerge..not somewhere I want to be but should check it out...
Good morning, everyone!
oooooooh that picture is so peaceful looking - makes me want to step into it, and do a "huck fin" kinda fishing day......
Betty - you sure are hard on yourself in the Christmas season - last year you fell in a ditch and injured your back, this year you sprain your wrist......now, you just Stop this, young lady!!!!
~Susan~
LOL you'd think I'd learn..that's 2 years in a row I come down the back deck stairs on a cold day and the steps are icy..1st time in the season and down I go..you would think I'd learn wouldn't you?
Afternoon all..
Just had to share..
On Monday night on my way home I picked up a container of veggie soup but didn't eat it..got busy..or maybe it was the turkey sandwhich..lol..Bernie came for the day putting trim and new doors so I left him a note and said ' apples/soup/pop in the refrigerator for you for lunch' now you have to know with my schedule and this diet that there is little need for me to do major groceries, usually buy more for cats/dog than for myself...I eat out at lunch and supper might consist of picking something up to cook that day or a lean cuisine...
SOOO if you looked in my refrigerator what would you see...absolutely nothing...
This morning Bernie was back putting a door into laundry room from family room, called me here at the office to tell me he brought me a meat pie and apple pie that Charlene had made, said from the looks of my refrigerator I musn't have proper food to eat! Oh no, they think I'm too poor to purchase food..yikes..that's not good..even said I'd drop in and pay him for the last 2 days, said no, he just wanted to do it for me...I do think it's because of the NO FOOD situation..lol..meanwhile he's having terrible financial issues because of that insurance company...
So I'd best drop in tonight and clear the air..yes I have money, yes I can buy food and yes I can pay for hours worked...
OMG...
Soooo if you hear that rumour, please disregard!!!! lol
Betty ( and anbody else who wants to look) I have posted some pics of the Xmas decorations at Lougheed House last week in my gardening blog.
Got to figure out how to get there?
Carol, found it...
Thanks for the tour..loved the blue room and also the chest of drawers that was once in your family..I so love 'old'...
Now, I must tell you, I enjoyed the tour of your home just as well..love your decorations...we've similar tastes..
Every year I decorate and forget what I have or where I put it..will have to do same..something like that on my blog...
Now there you go, everything will be done by Dec. 6th and I was thinking I'd have nothing to do..now I can plan a 'tour'..lol
Thanks again!
Betty one side of the 2nd floor is sort of a master suite, 2 bedrooms, sitting room, bath and there are 9 shades of blue in that area! Walls and ceilings all painted!
The bed in Isabelles bedroom and the wash stand in the senators bedroom belonged to the Gparents of a friend of mine - she donated them last year. I have donated some other small pieces but they are not currently on display.
It's quite interesting isn't it, knowing the history of families and regions...
We have a small homestead that I was on the committe who moved it from it's original location to a heritage area when I was Rec. CoOrdinator..so much work involved..rules/regulations etc.but so worthwhile
it is called the Bressette Homestead in Port Severn where I lived...
Thought I'd share...
Will you give this to my Daddy?
Last week I was in Toronto, Ontario attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.
Moving through the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.
When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only Canadian who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.
I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to church, school, work and home without fear or reprisal.
Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi.'
The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her.
The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her Daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.
The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter's name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Soldier and had been in Afghanistan for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.
When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it..
After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying 'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'
The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event.
As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause.. As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek..
We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's good to be a Canadian.
RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Canadians who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers.
We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions. Many Canadians, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of Canadians supports our troops.
Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that... Every Canadian who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.
Let's make Canada on every Friday a sea of red.
If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before Canada is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever; certainly more than the media lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is...We need your support and your prayers.
Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every Friday.
IF YOU AGREE -- THEN SEND THIS ON.
IF YOU COULDN'T CARE LESS THEN HIT THE DELETE BUTTON --- IT IS YOUR CHOICE. I don't know if you've seen this, but I urge you to send it to everyone you know..
WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE..
THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED---- SO WEAR RED! --- MAY GOD HELP CANADA TO BECOME ONE NATION, UNDER GOD.
What a wonderful idea and a heart warming story. Thanks for sharing, Betty.
sure quiet around here................
Far too quiet. Not much going on around here. Weather is returning to more normal temps, and the sun is hiding. Feels like November. I need to get some shopping done and in the mail, but not sure when it will happen.
Lost my glasses the other day. Lay down on the bed with my favorite little cat and they were gone when I got up. I felt everywhere. Got down (no easy feat) and felt the floor and under the bed. No where. What a feeling of desperation and frustration. Made my way carefully out to the shed and called for help. My son came in and found them right under the cat. Well....pffftt
and that's what happened in my neck of the woods.
Freaky storm blew in here yesterday afternoon, had stopped by 4pm but roads were bad, of course people dont have the sense to slow down so lots of fender benders. Had company come in from BC for an agility trial but she drove early enough just hit the storm the last few minutes. Parts of #2 (N/.S ) were closed because of icy roads and lots of cars in the ditch.
My groomer was supposed to come this morning but called and said her new truck had sh..y tires and she did nt want to drive, roads still pretty slick so we had to rebook.
I rarely go down town but I guess the city is pretty lively just now with the Grey Cup game tomrrow. Parade today, rather nippy out there, hope it is a bit warmer for the game tomorrow.
Quiet .. yeppers ...
I have had several rather OUTRAGEOUS reasons for my lack of postitude :-)
#1 .. ROGERS/TELECO .. if you have a cell phone and deal with these CREEPS .. I would advise you to read the VERY fine print in your contracts.
We have 2 cells on 'the family plan' .. one died in late Sept . I just have had NO time to get it in to discern the prob. I did today .. seems it's water damage .. no idea how .. but .. need a fix now. WELL .. Get a NEW phone, sign ANOTHER 3 year contract .. OR .. pay a FINE of $20. per month until the present contract is up (end of March 2010)
I have NO desire to continue with Rogers as in TBay their service is POOR (signal wise) .. bottom line .. $100. to get OUT of the contract (I am a 13 year patron of Rogers) .. or .. just keep paying the $37.00/month .. I was LIVID !! Since I carried on this tirade by phone .. I felt I was speaking to a VERY young person .. asked for HIS supervisor .. he said he was it !!!! WELL .. I didn't want to chance having a STROKE .. so .. I said FINE 'Jason' .. BILL me the $100. and take that phone OFF my bill .. gawd he was SO condescending I could have vomitted !!!
I have been holding out to switch both phones over to our local TBayTel network ..
#2 .. rec'd a letter from the Ont Ministry of Health and long term care re my travel to be with Lorna in Wpg throughout her ordeal .. they DENIED me as I was not on the plane with her !!! HELLO .. there was NO room on the plane .. so .. letters will be written, MPPs contacted .. and time spent doing things that most certainly should NEVER ever have to be more fully explained ..
Bottom line .. I am ready to find the nearest cliff !!!! Nah ... Too Irish to do that !!! Just that scenarios like this make me wonder about how corporations are run .. I have tried to find an address for the CEO of Roger Teleco .. Not gonna happen ..
Otherwise .. TBay is cool and sunny .. well dark right now .. and .. we are gettin by ....
~M~
It's wet here in Victoria.... again. Some walking trails are still flooded. Got some small gifties to go in the mail. Have to be in the mail by Dec 1 to make it to NZ on time. Walked down on the beach today, in the rain and wind with the dog. Big waves breaking, almost got my feet wet. Could almost imagine I was over on Long Beach on the west side of Vanc Island. So I phoned the friends we went to see in Whitehorse, and held the cell phone out so they could hear the waves. Good idea but crappy sound transmission. They'd been out skiing, xcountry. Left overs for dinner.
Here's a "pick-me-up" for all of you - these 2 singers would be welcome in Any church, I guarantee it! ^_^

Greetings,
Have to admit to mostly lurking since I got home. But today I DID put up pics from Berlin at http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1059434/#new
Go have a look if they interest you. My 5th visit to Berlin. First was in 1977 when we were living in the Hamburg area. Kids were small and we decided half way through Check-point Charlie that we didn't like the nonsense and we weren't going to East Berlin. It was a major job for them to move the blocks so we could reverse and take the kids to the Zoo.
Second visit was in 1984. That time we had East German visas and spent some time in Leipzig, Lutherstadt Wittenburg, and Potsdam before getting to East Berlin. And we were totally ignored in a restaurant on Unter den Linden. I reckon nobody wanted to be seen talking to obvious westerners. Eventually crossed into West Berlin to eat.
Third was in summer 1990 and we all had a go at the remnants of the wall with a pick-ax. I think I still have some of it somewhere.
And most recent before this trip was in October 1999 when the reconstruction of the no-man's land was well underway. But there's been a lot of progress since then as well. Very interesting to see the changes over the years. This was the first time we spent the majority of our time in the former East Berlin.
And there are a few other pics of Hamburg at: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1058780/ You'll have to scroll slightly more than half way through the thread.
Had H1N1 injection on Saturday morning and the arm is still sore, but it didn't bother me playing the viola last night. Need to do that regularly this week because Friday is "Come Sing Messiah" which will be a 5 hr gig.
Have a physio appointment soon. BBL

Got most of my Xmas decorations outside this morning - I put all the extension cords and bases out in October and then just have to pop the decorations on their bases and plug them in. Tomorrow will set the outdoor timers. I dont turn my lights on until Dec 1 earliest and they are turned off on 12th night. ( 6 Jan). I indulged in some pot decorations when I went to the greenhouse yesterday to pick up 'greens' and have done a rather nice pot for the front lawn.
Then I started to bring up my angel collection from the basement-I will finish those off tomorrow. I use my angels, lots of candles and greenery for inside decoration plus there are lights hung in all the windows. I have a new way to display some of the angels this year - sitting in the plant hangers in the TV room window!
This afternoon it started snowing lightly and by the time I left the house at 3pm to take Fancy to the vet for her blood work ( tooth cleaning on Thurs) the side streets were a bit slippery. Just now I looked out the window and it is snowing and blowing hard. Supposed to go to class with dogs tonight at 8:30 - suspect I will not be going! I prefer to stay off the roads in this kind of weather if it is not essential or urgent.
Here the pot on the kitchen table.
lovely plant settings, carol!
I just got in from work, and you're right to not bother going out tonight. If it's not essential, stay in with a hot cuppa! I was in 2nd, and everyone else was in Drive, I think. On Deerfoot, it was crawling along. I wonder where the sanders are?! I didn't see any street clearing around here.....
Good thing you got your outside decor done, too.
