CLOSED: Water bird - spent more time under the water than on top

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I am pretty clueless when it comes to water birds and unfortunately I didn't get a super photo, but I'll post the three that I got. Just skimming through the book, I'm wondering if it could be a Pie-billed Grebe. This bird was on Lake Worth in the marshy area of the Fort Worth Nature Refuge in North Texas. It was diving near the side of a canal. It would dive and stay under for quite a while, then come up in a different area. Catch it's breath then dive again.
