Yes I noticed that... I thought they were leaches or slugs at first so honestly they got the "salt" treatment. It is a bitter sweat thing because they do also eat slugs and other pests. My son said he has seen them all over the place at his school too.

Yes, like B. kewense, but it looks more like B. vagum, a predator of molluscs preferentially over earthworms.
