Please do not look at this tread!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

This is an exercise in human behavior. How well do adults follow directions? If you're reading this, the answer is not very well! I predict there will be many views.

Next time, before you scold a kid about not following directions, remember this!

(Ain't I a stinker? ^_^)

Either that, or you're Bill...

I was looking to see what kind of tire you were hiding (judging by the title) - turns out I just went fishing...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Not good to start a 'tread' while looking at a trail map, watching election results, telling your kids to pipe down and...

Grandview, TX(Zone 8a)

LOL!!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Forgot to say this in my first post - be responsible and admit the error of your ways by posting!

Thanks, catz!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

VV can you explain your first comment!

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

I'm pretty sure I've read on here somewhere that you and Victor kid each other a bit about spelling - and Victor kicks off his "gotcha" with two...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

It's usually me kidding Bill. ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

ok - he edited his post before i saw it - yes i have taken some abuse on that subject - now i intentionally do it just for the chatter (anyone buying that?)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

waht?

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

How much is it?

Warners, NY

OK' I bit, fortunately Herself is out doing "errands" whatever that means that will probably cost money, but at least there will be no comments about my advice to Her last week. She bought a new cell phone and after the bedroom door closed I heard language no lady should use. After a while I loftily informed her that she would have less trouble if she read the instruction book and followed directions-----as I always do, of course---------------------Weedy

I'm looking because I'm curious---I thought there would be a funny joke---so, Victor, think of one quickly!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

You know what they say about curiosity!

Victor, I didn't think you were from the Bronx. I think yous guys should make tree treads.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yo!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Whaz up!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gotcha!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Of course I looked! There are no rules. You don't have to follow directions if you don't want to. It's called 'experimenting'. After all, how scarey can a 'tread' be? I believe all 4 tires on my car have them.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No chains in your area, nuttyD?

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Nope we ski everywhere.

Upper Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 5a)

I have to know WHY, so of course I had to look. It's human nature, or at least my nature to be nosey - unless it's dangerous. I figured you were up to "something" and you're not too dangerous. Eleanor

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I always look, I looked at 9:20 when he put up the 'tread'. It's no fun if you cant look!
- Besides, there are no 'consequences', like with Medusa! lol!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't tread on me!

I admit - I am a sucker.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hey Sherrie! Where have you been??? How are you?

Hey Victor and all ! I have not been coming here since like July. I had to get over my mental distress of BLIGHT and loosing all my tomatoes. In fact - nothing was really right up here. Pickling Cukes would be 6 inches long and the next day totally round like oranges! I got so stinking discouraged I let all the flower beds go down. Oh well time heals.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't let it get you down, Sherrie. It was a bad gardening year for many. I got virtually nothing from my veggie garden and was overridden with weeds in the rest of the garden.

I was miserable. Literally threw arms up in the air. Bet everyone has done it one time or another.

Here is my little flower bed with plants from Kassias RU 2 years ago. Want some weeds?

Then Jim got a job across the road (really still unemployed, 9 months now) grrr. Anyway's dirt and stuff started coming in the yard as he dug. The guy had 2 feet of topsoil under his grass! It ended up on my veggie garden.

Then the guy had to get rid of some shrubs and this 10 foot rhody! It got placed next to that composter that he gave me.

Didnt stop there. A neighbor next to that neighbor and another neighbor started taking down trees and chipping the small stuff. Then another company comes in and dont have a place to get rid of the chips so we are getting all of them. They have started to haul them in. Our goal is to level the land clear out to the pine trees and plant a LAWN!

So thats basically it. My brain is mended and I will be with my funky old self. Another good one. Went to an auction 2 weeks ago. I bought a lot of 52 dishes for 30 bucks. I have sold 9 pieces on ebay for a total of 330 bucks with the rest to be sold.

Here is a picture of one platter I sold for 127 dollars

Nice!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Very nice. Too bad you had to sell it.
But glad to see you back!

I kinda thought your little garden (your first pic) looked like a burial plot. Could be a bad omen.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Very Nice! Brown transferware is rare and collectible by any company. Thats a beautiful pattern.
