How do you know when your hens have stopped laying for good?

Ferndale, WA

Hate to be the bearer of bad news ladies but brown is one of the colors that EE's lay. Brown is a color you know. Olive, green (various shades) blue, brown, and some pinkish. Bummer dude. I have never gotten one but have heard that from time to time there is even a yellowish egg laid. Haystack.

Ohhh Haystack, I want one of them Yellow ones... HUMMMM would that be the golden egg?

Brown is not an Easter color. The only time we ever dyed an Easter egg brown was when we put one in my husband's coffee cup instead of one of the dye mugs.

i agree... brown is not an Easter Egg color. EE's should only lay, green, blue, pink, yellow & purple eggs. :)

I did get a beautiful huge green egg from Honey bear tho. She's an EE. O & a welsummer gave me a pretty dark brown chocolate egg today.
