Hi, This was on the wall outside any idea's?? it was a vibrant red colour more than the picture shows! cheers

This is an orb-weaving (family Araneidae) that has wandered away from its web. It may be an unusual colour variant of the common garden/cross spider, Araneus diadematus - see http://tinyurl.com/yfv5ve3 for a more typical example.
