It is 9/24, my Rose of Sharon and Crepe Myrtle are still blooming here in central Oklahoma. They need to be pruned. Should I wait awhile?

Wait until they go dormant. If you cut back know new growth may appear and be damaged by the weather.

I always prune my Crepe Myrtles in the dead of winter. January has been my traditional time to do this.

Thanks. We have had a wierd summer here. Know pretty much about ROS but not the crepe myrtle; however, I understand they are about the same and I know they bloom about the same time. Just wanted another opinion. Appreciate it.
