A brand new day, a brand new thread....

I like chickens MUCH more than DILs......grin

GSJordan's dad married, divorced and re-married the same one.....they are divorced, finally and everyone is so much better off....only took 14 years ....and a really hurt and confused kid who says it hurts to be disposable.....

Pam, Kassy, we have alligators down here and they are not particular about who ...er...WHAT they eat....grin and I have a friend with a tree farm who has offered to plant new trees if necessary....lol

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

morning all! my head is killing me!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good Morning Moon and Trina.

Don't have the DIL experience yet, but DS's current girl (they've been together since 1st love) was brought up in a screamer household. I told him don't you dare stoop to that level. You got a problem, you talk it out.

Everyone have a good day, hope your head feels better Trina.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

it will if it ever stops raining smiley, BTW I got your peas yesterday, they look great!

(Zone 5b)

yikes you guys are making me feel bad! I'm sure I've been plenty annoying at times lol
Moon I like fried alligator....oh boy I need an intervention....you guys are probably wondering is there anything she WON'T eat?? Umm let me think...I don't like organ meats.
Moon Jordan is lucky to have you!
Smiley are they Italian? *grin*

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hey, hey smiley....don't forget the bank

(Zone 5b)

gotta run, be back later! Have a good morning all! :)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Thanks, Lynnie. I sincerely hope so.
Alligator is a lovely clean white meat, but I was suggesting feeding the gators, not eating them....lol

So far as being a DIL, Lynnie, I think you have more than proved your value to the family unit...grin (sleepless nights and home cooked meals)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Have a great day All...gonna try to get a bit done before the rain.....again.

BTW, heard from Flowers....her computer could not be fixed, she had to return the loaner, so can only check in from her DIL's house. Surely hope she is not gone too long.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

me too I miss her!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I was wondering where had all the flowers gone? LOL

Lynnie, I am with you, organ meats are a no-no.

And no, THEY'RE not Italian, WE are. Well, I am. She just grew up in that kind of screwed up environment with a lot of yelling and hitting. The problem with yelling instead of working it out is that people say things in the heat of an argument and no matter how many times you say you're sorry, you can't take it back. Her Dad's little saying is "say what you mean, and mean what you say", which isn't bad, but he should practice what he preaches. This guy is the biggest a**hole walking the face of the earth.

Moon, thanks for the reminder... I completely forgot!

Trina, I couldn't bring myself to cut them off. Forgot any kind of surprise, though. Sorry.

(Zone 5b)

hitting is not nice! we're half Italian, we're loud sometimes but not mean lol there are a lot of us, so we tend to be noisy when we're all together.
I was wonderign about Flowers too.
Ok, off to the races again.....

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning,

Smiley I sure hope you're DH's GF was his Grandfather and not his girl friend...LOL

Venice I recieved a nice little postcard today. Thank You very much GS will love it.

Lynnie you can be my DIL anytime. I am sure there are more good ones than bad...and even the bad ones probably have good in them just doesn't always show up.
Mine doesn't even get along with her family sooo don't know. End of story.

Moon if someone knocks on your door someday you don't recognize make sure its not Kassy or me before ya feed the gators...grin...

Wonder if Flowers wants me to hold a space for her in Best Buy parking lot on black Friday...LOL

Need to get this place cleaned up before Halloween so better get started and GS wants a different costume than the ghost his dad got him. He was never a ghost. Blah how boring

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

LOL MOON...oops caps lock was on...sorry I had to lay back down, you'd think after all this time I'd be use to it but sometimes my meds still get the best of me and I gotta lay back down for an hour!

JJ, I bought those stickers years ago and came across them and thought your GS might like them. I guess you will have to make some rules about where he can put them. When my GD was little she put stickers all over her GF new expensive suede coat and they couldn't come off!! The markdown sticker price on them was 25 cents! I just cut them down to postcard size.

Here are the plants that Dixie sent me. The begonia is by my kitchen sink. If I put it anywhere else, Kitty starts licking the water then it gets turned over.

Did I tell you that Kitty prefers to drink from puddle water?! If there are not any puddles, she goes down to the pond and drinks. But she does have water containers inside and outside also.

Moon, very beautiful flowers!!! Are those yours?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

morning carol!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, I guess the leaves on that Phili plant are a bit shiny except the ones that are dusty. I am sure it is the milk I clean them with.

Hey there!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

My clumbsiness continues! I dumped over a pot on the carpet! Also I spilled some soil from another pot. I just go from mess to mess!

Keaau, HI

Good morning everybody! Aloha aku!

Carol, why do you put milk on the leaves?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Aloha Dave, I just use the milk to clean off the dust.

Keaau, HI

Why not use water; that's how Nature does it. I think putting substances like milk on leaves may encourage fungal disease.

ok now that the boxing match in my lap is ocer I can reach the keyboard

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

TRINA!!!!!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ok thet're at it again....i was talkin about chupy and the gremlin!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

WELL! I got your package! Now I need some quick info to know what to do with them!

1) There are 3 shchefflwera in one pot! Do they need separate pots?

2) The diffenbachia looks a little yellow.

3) Then there is that plant with 4 thin sticks with green speckled leaves, no name.

4) And then there is the pretty little aloe.

5) The hosta has a lot of roots. It probably doesn't need anything special. Just keep it inside until spring.

Now, tell me what they need and what I need to do!

By the way, that was really sweet of you to sent me so many plants! I think everyone is trying to make up for those plants I lost. Thanks so much.

Tell me what to do!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

1. keep the schefflera all in one pot, they look funny when you seperate them...I know it did it one already!

2. yeah I think it got too much water or direct sunlight....they like it kind of shady.

3. I have no idea, I got both of us one so we can experiment on that together.

4. just pot the little aloe up, give it a little water, bright light, and ignore it.

5. If you want to keep the hosta in you can, she is kinda small

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Thanks for the info. I need some more potting soil. Be back later.

Keaau, HI

It's a good day for rainforest plants.

Lynn, if you have been plenty annoying at times, then stop it :p
I have never had a MIL, neither did my mother. Never got to meet my grandparents on that side.

Moon, I like that, but there are alligators in Floriada, and so far she has dodged them when she has been down there. I like the tree farm idea ...............LOL

have to go back to read the rest, but want to jump in on that.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Bye Venice!

Hello Kassy!

Dave what's the tall variegated white looking tree in the background?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Hi Kassy, how are you today!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Doing good Dave, seeing I have the next 6 nights off and am headed to my BF's tomorrow. Have some things I have to get gone here, or I would probably head up there today.

And how are you?

Keaau, HI

So far the plans are to go to work; building an outdoor shower stall, and removing large weeds.

Six days off sounds like a little vacation!
