Well there you have it the manure scab reoprt! Scab is also caused by other pathogens!

Scab is caused by the pH being too high more than anything else. Lower the pH by adding chopped leaves, sawdust or something else acidic. I use sawdust and hay to "hill" my potatoes. I still get scab every now and then, but the sawdust has lowered my pH from 8.5 to 7.1 (still too high for potatoes).
I bought the white cobblers at Tractor Supply.

Ive never tried it, after treading that, I am leary, but I get woodchips from a buddy free so I usually use them... just so long as they are not walnut or diseased!
