Well Ka in Jungle Book kept trying to put a squeeze on Mowgli.

Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is full of very unfriendly & dangerous snakes. KA is the original (not disney) just warned Mowgli to be careful after KA shed his skin. Disney certainly wrecked a lot of good books, Jungle Book & Winnie the Pooh. I think C.R. Milne sold the rights because his daughter had cerbral palsy & he wanted her to have the income.
