Apropos of Nothing v.3

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

Yeah... what they said. :)

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Just had the most beautiful rainbow. It was huge...going now to look for the pot of gold. Must get my youngest through college!! LOL

Found this nice surprise this morning when I opened up my pop up green house.

Yay rainbows! One of the perks of our weird NW weather. hehe.

That bloom is gorgeous. I just potted up my 6 brug cuttings and put them in the garage. I can't wait til next year!

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Love the rainbow.

I'm optimistic about my next thiry years. I just don't think I will be out working in the yard or redoing my house as much as I do now. We are now redoing a lot of things after 20 years here.

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

I'm beat. Got a bunch done out there today. Not enough, but my back says I'm done. But at least everything that needed to go in the ground is in now, and things that needed potting are done, and a buch of general cleanup is out of the way. Built a cute little pocket bed in the corner between the two rock beds in the front, I like the way it looks. :)

Still need to cut those shipping crates down and get another load of Tagro to fill them with. My poor raspberry plants have been sitting in a bucket for tooooo long. I hope they live.

Sure was nice to have a non-rainy day for a change.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Sounds like you had a great day.

Purty picture, Willow. :)

Yeah, it felt good to get some work done- I just wish my stupid back would be nicer to me. :(

Oh! I think I found out what your wildflowers are- the ones you sent me... look at this: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1179/ and tell me what you think.

The new pocket bed I made today... nestled into the corner between the big beds- I think it looks cute!

Pony, you do great things with rocks. That bed is exceptionally cute! But I can see why your back hurts after hauling all those stones around.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Willow, I think we might almost share a birthday, not the year, but the day.

Great flower beds, Pony...and wonderful rainbow, BeaHive, I haven't seen one in a while.

(Judi)Portland, OR

Wonderful rainbow BeaHive. Thanks for sharing.

Nice new bed Pony!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Beautiful rainbow, beautiful brug bloom, and beautiful rock bed! Pony, if you run out of room, you can always build your gardens here!
I have to go fix dinner now. We're hungry!

(Julie)South Prairie, WA(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Willow and Sharran!

Bea, I love the rainbow and the Brug flower. Bet the bloom was a wonderful bright spot in your day!

Pony, your bed looks great. I soooooo drool over those rocks every time I see a picture of that bed! I have that same "in the ground" objective for today. What was I thinking when I made that last bulb order? Gads!

Lynn, I hope you are feeling better! If you are going to be home this afternoon and up to being out and around, I may see if you are up to showing off your new projects towards the end of the day (if I remember to quit with enough daylight left to get over there this time!). D-mail me and let me know if you are up for it!

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I would love the company!

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

I love those big rocks. My back doesn't. hehe. I need to find more of them, though- all my existing beds are full, what am I going to do with all my spring seedlings? Eek!

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Pony, Your bed looks super.

Sharran, November 19th?
I also have a sister named Sharon.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

"You a burly woman Pony" said with a native american accent. "Heap strong squaw"
Well done Pony I too like the elevation and character you have accomplished.

(Pony) Lakewood, WA(Zone 8a)

"Burly"? *guffaw*

Thanks, everybody. I'm pretty happy with those beds. Now I need more rocks so I can go all the way around the tree with them...

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

November 20, Willow...
Close enough!

Great rocks, pony!!

NEW THREAD!

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Same day as my grand-niece, Sharon. Lots of Scorpios in my family . . .

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

You too, Kath??

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

I'll be 50 on the 25th - the cusp. With the best qualities of both Sagittarius and Scorpio. Hee hee.

Geez, and I thought reaching 40 was hard to adjust to. This is almost surreal. I'd better do some growin' up pretty fast!!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

I seem to remember that, that's why I asked.
Nah...no growing up, too complicated.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Thank you. Good to know that I don't actually HAVE to grow up. :-)

(Judi)Portland, OR

Actually, even if you grow up for a few years to get work done, you can always revert back again when you want!

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

I don't believe in growing-up either. In fact I don't think anyone actually does. We just have to act thatway sometimes.

Woodinville, WA(Zone 8b)

Sounds good to me. Who am I to fight the general consensus?

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I think the age of being 50 is great! My best years and the most fun. If I had to go back to the 20's I would NOT. I like growing up so I can act like a child again. LOL
