I found this guy and about had a heart attack as I am scared to death of all spiders. He had an amazing web though right next to my porch lights in my door frame. I know the pictures are not good because I was scared he might jump on me. He played dead quite a bit and I thought he might want revenge for removing him from his web. He was an almost brown color and had yellow and red on his legs. He had large mantibles and large fangs (I think they were fangs). I'm not sure if this picture is good enough to help, but I hope so! I am in Jeffersonville, IN which is next to Louisville, KY. I was more scared of this than the black widow we found in the back yard!

This is a harmless orbweaver (family Araneidae); likely either an Araneus or Neoscona sp.
