I have continued to fertilize the vines with Bloom Booster. The vines are producing these odd mutant blooms. Smaller, split, and interestingly shaped blooms.
My theory is that the fertilizer is pushing them to their limit. Unfortunately, they are not producing pollen. I thought it would be a neat experiment to get some seeds from these mutant blooms and then grow them out to see what I get. These vines normally produce larger, typical blooms per cultivar. Now they are producing something quite different.
This vine (NO ID) usually produces 4 - 4 1/2 " white blooms that are typical in shape. It did produce quite a few blooms before the vine appeared to be dying down. I've continued to fertilize it with Bloom Booster, so it continues to try to bloom. The blooms are much smaller 1 1/2 - 2 " blooms.
