My husband just got home from Afghanistan a few months ago and we found a dead spider in his stuff. Then a couple days later we saw two of the same kind of spiders alive by our front door. i know its a little difficult to see the images but hopefully someone knows what it is? thank you
I cannot be certain, but this could be a male trapdoor spider such as those in the family Cyrtaucheniidae - see http://tinyurl.com/yhfau6p for an example. These spiders sometimes will wander some distance from their burrow in search of mates. They can give you a painful bite if handled carelessly, but they are not dangerous.
