I was digging up my lilies to replant recently, just leaving them in a pile outside, and we had a horrible and sudden killing frost. Are they goners?
Zapped by the freeze?
They're probably ok, I found a bulb lying on the ground this spring where I'd forgotten it. It was firm and seemed ok. It didn't send up a shoot this year, but it didn't appear to be dead at all.
If there's anything obviously mushy then you might want to remove that part. They'll probably be OK ~ all you can do is try. :)
