Has Anyone Seen Me Lately?

Hey Y'all!! I'm baaaaack!!! LOL!

Yepper, been gone from DG for almost a year and what a year it's been. I need to take some time and catch up with everyone. I've missed ALL of you so much. I hope everyone is doing well. Tell me what you've been up to lately...I can't wait to hear!

Just last week I moved into a house I'm renting. I'll be able to have a small garden here, so I'm back on DG. Whoo-hoo! I have all winter to plan my lil garden...and am hoping that all of you would like to help...I need ideas. Will get pics asap, but it's going to be a bit, I'm still unpacking.

Let's see, what have I been up to over the last year? Let's stick to the highlights....a divorce (which only serves as a source of humor at this point), I lost 65 lbs, gained a BF (BF's are GREAT because you can send them HOME, lol), wranglin horses with DB & DSIL, ridin my dirt bike and 4 wheeler and generally annoying the daylights out of my 5 DB's who now think that because I'm single they get to pretend they are my DD.

I'm actually hoping this move brings a bit of peace and quiet back into my life. I was living in town and it was just too much for me. I need quiet. I need my garden. I love this new place. I will soon have my two small dogs with me (Baxter the Sheltie and Petey the Chihuahua). Then this will really be home.

So, what has everyone else been up to?



PS...y'all know me well enough by now to know there's no pity parties about the divorce. It's done and over with. Moving on to better things now. :-)

well then how about a Happy Divorce party? I had 2 (liked the first one so much I guess I needed another! LOL)

I've actually considered having one of those when everything is FINALLY completed. I think I might. I will be celebrating whether or not anyone else knows about it or is involved in it. Not sure exactly what or how I want to do it yet tho...but at the pace everything is moving I've got plenty of time to figure it out, lol.

the first time it took 4 years from start to finsh and we didn't share anything! no property, no kids, no nothing, heck we barely we got married on April 1st (do NOT laugh) and I filed that same December 1st

Today I got some unpacking done. My bathroom is too tiny. I'm giving stuff away. putting stuff back that I don't need out. It's still too tiny. It's not that I have too much stuff. That can't be it. Never. LOL

lol it could never be that we have too much stuff just that our places are too small.....we could never have too much stuff

Oh, no, no, no! NEVER too much stuff. (just don't ask my BF about that, or the people who helped me move!)

THe really funny thing is that I'm getting MORE stuff to take care of the problem of having too much stuff. Does that even make sense???? I found a cabinet/shelf that's cute (and cheap) that'll fit in the tiny bath. It'll be big enough to hold all my junk. This is insane. Now to find a console table for the livingroom entrance....hmmm....

I have 5 teenagers so I know all about "Stuff"

Welcome back!! I wondered where you had gone and figured it had something to do with the ex. I am glad to hear you sounding so positive!!

Oh yeah, I'm back and so glad to be back. I suppose I'll be off and on for a bit till I get good and settled here.

We got our first snow today. Started around 9 am and hasn't quit yet. Heard they were calling for 4-8 inches by the weekend. I was still planning on gardening. Ha. We'll see who wins this one. Bulbs MUST be dug up from the ex's and planted here. I took the auger and the (18v lithium lighted) cordless drill with me. (oh, wait, I wasn't going to talk about that. so sorry. back on topic now)

What else is new? I'm dog tired. LOL I need about a 72 hour day. A week of 72 hour days and then MAYBE I can get done everything I need to. Today was DSIL's b-day and I almost forgot. Well, I didn't forget her b-day, I forgot what day it was till I started writing out a check. Mad dash to the store to get her a gift. I felt like a moron. Then I remembered that the last two yrs in a row she & DB didn't get me anything. hmmmm....you know, there's 4 of them and 1 of me. Of course they do "little" stuff for me all the time, so it all evens out. I still owe my DB $$ for ammo, but we won't talk about that. tee hee he

Ok, time to get up off the floor, my feet are falling asleep....
