The little girl was probably not terribly thrilled with the contents, poor thing.
It was a gag gift started by a thread on here about picking up seeds from a rock rose outside Sweet Tomatoes - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1036596/
I made a "Seedpicker's Contigency Equipment" kit - it contained tiny baggies and a sharpie marker, side cutters for taking clippings, tubes for filling with water and putting the clippings into, and a tiny water bottle.
As per the discussion, I looked and looked for a wisk broom and dustpan that would fit into that box, but couldn't find one anywhere.
North Central Texas Fall Roundup, The People.
Cute little idea! You never know, she might be a gardener in training!!
Kim, what are you getting your doctorate in? What's your dissertation topic?
That was a great idea!
My degree will be in veterinary physiology, but I work mainly in the development of transgenic livestock models.
:) Kim
That's a mouthful, Kim! Sounds like an interesting field of study. I know you'll do well defending your dissertation.
Hello Everyone,
I started a new thread for plant ID and discussion, here

The little girl with Tommy is Megan. She is Dale and Tommy's granddaughter. She loved the door prize. It's all she talked about on the way home. She was ready to collect seeds. The story behind it was amusing. She didn't know any different.
quilter_gal, if Larry had known what was in that little kit you made, he would have been trying to trade something to Megan for it !!! LOL.
He couldn't resist those rock rose seed at Sweet Tomatoes and the next time he ate there he brought home a whole hand full that he'd swept up.
Glenna
LOL Glenna! They germinate very easily so if you plant them, they'll probably come up!
Love the Rock Rose!
.....Lets move all discussion to the new thread that will load faster for those that have dial up.
