I am in Idaho at the moment visiting my daughter's family..I took pics..lol..
Wish it Luck! Lemon Merinque...
AND all the brugs will be fed piggy poop tea tomorrow in the morning...lol
Mine is getting Charley, the mule Tea. That is a beautiful brug. We can swap cuttings later on if you want.
Charleen, Beautiful.
moodene,
Does the inner skirt retain its yellow color during the entire life of the bloom? Or does it fade to the same color as the other skirts?
Veronica, all the blooms that I have seen, the last skirt stays much darker.
Kenboy is right. I didnt get the last shot of the skirt cuz I had to get ready to go to Idaho. But it has Y'd again and hoping to get more blooms again...
I am hoping to have some rooted cuttings done by the fall..
Oh you went to Idaho? You lucky dog! I'm from Idaho.
LOL..yup, my daughter and her family lives in Mountain Home..They are stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base..I rather stay on flat land..had enough of the hills, mountains, and the ups and downs..and curves..lol...it was pretty country up there but not my cup of tea..
Ah, you were in southern Idaho and that is the flat part of the state. I'm glad you got to go see your daughter.
Moodene, that is a lovely plant. Love the color!
If you have cuttings for sale, please put me on the list for this fall?
Thanks
LK
Ok will do..
I planted mine in the ground and it took off. There is a side shoot that is really growing, so I cut the old shoot off to make cuttings and let all the energy go to the new one. It will be some time before I see any blooms on mine.
I have few side shoots that are just coming up..I will take those off and put them in orchid moss to grow them..lol..
I did well on the cuttings, I got 16 of them in six-pacs, under the big Oak trees. I also got close to 40 cuttings of Tootsie started. I hate to cut them back this time of year but I have soo many people asking for these two. I hope they root better than they did last Fall.
Hi, Ken..my peachicks are doing okay..getting bigger and bigger...lol.. I just put a bag over that bloom so I can have the pollen pure..
Here is a pic of it with the bag on it.. made 12 more like it to keep anything off the pollen..lol...Did I read somewhere you lost your Pink Velvet? I have a rooted cutting that I did and it is about 3 feet tall if ya want it...
Yes I want it, mine did not make it through the Winter. I have never had a Brug where the blooms stand up as well as PV in the heat. Several years ago, when I had my first PV bloom, it was the middle of the Summer and the bloom lasted for six days, you just got to love her.
I screwed up, it was not Lemon Meringue that I got 16 cuttings from it was Desiree, I only got 3 Lemon Meringue. I have had so many people wanting this and Tootsie it is not funny. I was also surprised so many people are asking about Sam.
Oaky, I will put your name on it and when Maggi comes..I make sure it is in the van..
I have found LM to be pretty fragile during the winter cold snaps here. I almost lost it two winters in a row. Always take an extra cutting or two for backup. I even had it in the greenhouse this last winter.... Here is a pic of mine in bloom a few yrs ago.

That is beautiful, If you have any extra cuttings put me on the waiting list please?
My Lemon Meringue just had a quatro, sorry I can not find my camera but it is lovely. What I'm having trouble with is rooting LM. I took a cutting during the Summer and they went to mush, took more this Fall and the same thing. I am rooting about 400 cuttings now and almost all are rooting just fine, except LM. Does anyone else have this problem, or does anyone else have LM?
Hi Kenboy,
I bought a LM a couple of years ago but it was a small plant and it did`nt make it, I have heard that it is
hard to root.
It sure is a pretty bloomer!
I went out there to see about where I can take cuttings off LM. If they root, I will have about 5 plus the one already rooted in a pot growing..lol..Linda Kay, I will make sure you get a rooted cutting first cuz you asked for one while back..I can ship it out in the spring or so after the weather warms up abit..
Oh Nadine, that would be great! Thanks so much!
