Saw this large moth (?) on my screen this morning -- in Lower Makefield (Bucks County, Southeastern PA).

What is it? Please and thanks. :)

This is a Catacola sp. (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). It looks like Catocala amatrix (see http://tinyurl.com/ydzna69), but the color pattern of several other species can be quite similar.

And once again -- thank you suunto! I didn't get to see the the wings spread out like that -- guess the splash of orange I saw makes more sense now (if that's what was hidden underneath)! I got some photos from the inside before I went outside (not great, but the colors are sort of showing).
