My bulbs are here, Now what?

I just received my shipment of "Red Carpet Border lilys" [asiatic]
I've never had them before.[I'm just beginning with lilys." Now what is best for me to do? Should I plant them now,or start them in pots first?Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Why not plant them where you want them to grow? Keep them labeled if names are important to you.

Go ahead and plant them in the ground as they'll need the winter chill to grow again. The lilies won't gain anything by potting them and might need added protection over winter. As suggested, mark them so you won't wonder about that naked spot in the garden come spring. :)
